Our project lecture titled “Sustainable Food Production and Nutritional Habits in the Context of a Sustainable School” was held at Sakarya University Faculty of Engineering. In the event held in the laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Zehra AYHAN, a faculty member of the Department of Food Engineering at Sakarya University Faculty of Engineering, made a remarkable presentation on sustainable food production and healthy nutrition habits. The lecture addressed important issues such as the basic dimensions of sustainability, the relationship between sustainability and the faculty of education, sustainable agricultural techniques, prevention of food waste, and sustainable packaging. In addition, suggestions were made on healthy nutrition habits that individuals can integrate into their daily lives. The lecture provided new perspectives to the participants and raised awareness on environmental awareness and sustainable living. As part of the presentaation, the environmentally friendly sample materials used in food production and packaging brought by Prof. Dr. Zehra AYHAN were examined with interest by the students. At the end of the course, Prof. Dr. Zehra AYHAN emphasized that future teachers should be more conscious of sustainability practices and asked them to convey the subject to their future students.
